4:15 am

Can't sleep. Don't think I can blame it on the baby this early, more like my stupid brain that won't shut off. Normally I am a head-pillow-out-until-morning type of girl, but I have slept like crap the last two nights. Last night I chalked it up to being excited. I woke up every two hours, but was able to get back to sleep. Tonight, I woke up wide awake at 3:42, probably do to DH's snoring. Normally I just kick him out of bed, but that didn't seem fair if I wasn't going to sleep in the bed. Dakota (the cat) couldn't figure out why I was awake, but was more than happy to take advantage of the pre-dawn snuggle fest and curl up with me on the couch.

We told my parents last night over the phone. I called to wish my mom a happy birthday (we never did get a hold of them last night), and told her that I had custom ordered her birthday present, but that it would take a little while to come in... like 9 months. They were pretty excited. I think we caught my dad completely off-guard. I think Mom figured it out when I said it would take a little while to come in, Dad got it about a half second after I said "9 months" and just said "YOU'RE PREGNANT?!?" Lol. In his defense, I had mentioned to Mom in passing when we saw her this weekend that we were trying, but I'm not sure Dad knew that.

We tried to call Armando's mom again, but apparently her cell phone is off. SIL said she is with her sister this weekend and that they were supposed to be coming up to San Antonio to visit her sister's family. So, we may end up telling her in person this weekend. :)

We went to the bookstore last night. I bought a copy of "What to Expect"... I figured it was a good a place as any to start. Mando bought a couple of pregnancy magazines, and a Linux magazine. In bed last night he kept switching back and forth between the pg magazine and the Linux magazine and pointing out "cool" stuff to me. (Really confusing when I thought he was talking about something pg related and it turned out to be Linux!) Oh well, gotta love the boy and his geekiness. And I'm glad he is excited enough to learn a little more about things, not that I really expected any less.

Ok, I'm going to attempt sleep yet again. Not sure if it will work or not. Have a good night! But before I leave, I will leave you with some pictures:
