A Quick Update Since It's Been Awhile...

Man, the month is going by fast. It's absolutely insane.

On the homefront - we've done a great job beginning to get the house in order. It's barely recognizable from what it was before, in a good way. We had the carpets cleaned earlier this week, and really all that is left is the guest room. Then the great migration of DH's office can begin.

On the Christine front - my shoulder has been bothering me considerably lately. It's a problem I've had for a couple years now, but never really did much about. Now, thanks to my pregnant state, I can no longer take the muscle relaxers which have always taken away the pain. I saw an orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday who confirmed that there is no real injury, just a lot of muscle tension. He referred me to a local chiropractor, whom I saw for the first time today. I'll admit, having never seen a chiropractor before, some of the things that he talked about seemed a little "out there". But the pain and tension in my shoulder has lessened after the first appointment, so it leaves me hopeful that it can be solved in a few appointments.

On the Squeaky front - Squeaky is moving all over the place! Only a few recognizable kicks right now, but definitely lots of squirming and fluttering. This coming Tuesday is our big u/s, I can't wait to see him/her! We won't be finding out the gender on Tuesday, we decided to have the doctor write it down in an envelope and we will open it Christmas morning. I can't think of a more exciting Christmas present, and I don't think I've been this excited for Christmas since I was a little kid.

On the random front - I recieved my first baby present yesterday! Our group of friends had their annual Christmas party/gift exchange and this year we decided to do a draw rather than buying gifts for everyone. The person who drew me I'm not as close with as some of the other people in our group, and definitely not a baby person! He got me a baby carrier (like the little baby frontpacks that you carry the kid in) In talking with him afterwards, it was obvious that he put an enormous amount of effort into picking out the one that had the lightweight fabric so Squeaky wouldn't get too warm, and one in which the baby could face forwards or towards me because it is important to their bonding/development. I'm extremely touched and thankful, not just by the gift but at the thought behind it. I doubt he reads this blog, but I will say thank you again!

And on the belly pic front - I know I've been slacking to my faithful readers (if you are still out there?), so I'm not going to leave you wanting. Here's my latest belly picture at 19 weeks, 1 day.
