Fluffy Bums

Cloth diapers have been on my mind lately. I've always been interested in cloth diapering - cloth diapers have come so far from what they used to be, they are less expensive than disposables and they are so much better for the environment.

I looked into it before Gabe was born, but then we couldn't find a daycare that would allow us to bring cloth diapers. So I let it go by the wayside.

Now that we have two in diapers, it's been back on my mind. Fact - diapers are expensive. Another fact - two in diapers is even more expensive! We are spending approximately $50 a month on diapers alone!

So I finally bit the bullet and signed up for a 21 day cloth diaper trial. We started Monday and so far have only used the cloth diapers at night. (That's right, we jumped in whole hog, since the boys are in daycare and therefore disposables all day, the only time we have to try them during the week.)http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

So far, I like them. I have a few different brands that I'd like to try, but I think we're going to go ahead and start using cloth diapers at home. Then, once we've got the hang of them, we may see if we can twist the daycare's arm to let us use them at daycare too.

And here's a fluffy bum picture of Isaac:

Right now, Hopper's Baby Haven and Rocky Mountain Mama are giving away a free Rumparooz diaper. Go here for more information.
