Belize = Awesome

We had an incredible time. So much so, that we joked about not coming back. We decided that we could stay until our money ran out, and then write postcards home to see who we could sucker into sending us money ;)

We stayed the first 3 nights at Caves Branch Lodge in the jungle. We had this cute little screened in bungalow. Probably a little rustic for some people's tastes, but we loved it. We went cave tubing and zip lining the first day, then to the Mayan ruins at Xunantanich the second day.

Then it was on to Ambergris for 5 days of relaxation on the beach. The snorkeling was cool, neither of us had ever done it before, and the food was great. Our days mostly consisted of doing something active in the morning (snorkeling, exploring town etc) and then laying by the pool and the swim up bar in the afternoon. I think I drank more alcohol on this trip than I have in the past year.

Surprisingly, it wasn't to hard to go back to work today. I expected to go back to the same old shit, but the vacation must have paid off, because my mood was chipper this morning. So the rest and relaxation must have done me good.
