Dr. Appointment - 13 weeks

I had my 2nd doctor appointment today. No new ultrasound pictures (sorry, all you Squeaky stalkers, you'll just have to wait until Christmas or so), but I did get to hear the heartbeat. I have to admit, the heartbeat was cooler than I expected. The heartbeat was 166 bpm. What I did not expect was to be able to hear Squeaky moving around in there and kicking! Almost as soon as the doctor turned on the doppler, the doppler made a loud noise, and the doctor said "Wow, that was a big kick!" And I said, "Wait, that was a kick?!" It was kinda surreal to hear him/her kicking but not feel it. S/he kicked several more times, but not nearly as loudly. But apparently Squeaky is a feisty little one, it sounded like karate going on in there.

I talked to the doctor about my right ear ringing (it's been ringing for about the past two weeks). He said it may be related to the pregnancy, but since it hasn't gone away with Benadryl and some other things, he referred me to a ear, nose and throat doctor. So I see him in two weeks. I also go back to the OB the same day for quad testing. I won't see the doctor, just get bloodwork drawn.

So, as I mentioned earlier, my OB does the big ultrasound at 20 weeks, so we'll have to wait 7 weeks until we can find out the gender. I was hoping maybe they would do it at my next appointment since I would be 17 weeks by then. But, on the positive side, this means that we will get to find out right before Christmas! What an awesome present that would be!
