At dinner the other night, somehow the conversation came around to babies (big surprise, I only think about it ever 0.2 seconds). And I was telling him about the stupid posts some women make on BOTB about how to tell their DH they are pregnant.
Now DH is a pretty down-to-earth guy, in my opinion, and not one who is big on ceremony or grandiose gestures. He proposed in his boxers with no ring, for crying out loud!
But for the first time in a long time, he surprised me. He looks me straight in the eye, and tells me he doesn't want to be there when I poas. He says that guys think about the moment they find out they are going to be a father the way women think about proposals and marraige. Ummmm... ok?
Don't get me wrong, it was incredibly sweet, and I am glad he thinks about stuff like that, if only that it makes my insane baby fever seem slightly more normal. But I have to admit, I'm feeling the pressure now. How in the heck am I going to come up with some creative way to tell him about a BFP when we finally get one?

Ok, so, just like we tell drive-by nesties asking this question, do you have any pets? You could get a "I was the baby first" t-shirt to put on the pet. Or, you could wrap up a onesie that says "Daddy's favorite" or something like that. I think you can get DIY iron-on kits so you wouldn't have to spend a ton.
When the time comes, I'm sure you'll think of something! This conversation just gives you something else to obsess over.
